Prof. Tae-Yop KIM

Professor Tae-Yop Kim is a renowned cardiac anesthesiologist at Konkuk University Medical Center (KUMC) in Seoul, Korea. He is a professional in the depth of anesthesia monitoring and TIVA (total intravenous anesthesia). He has been a Professor at KUMC since September 2010, and is also a Member of the Korean National Academy of Medicine.
Professor Kim completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Medicine at Chonnam National University School of Medicine, Gwangju, Korea, followed by a Ph.D.. He has been a Full-time Faculty in the Division of Liver Transplantation Anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pennsylvania, USA, from 2004 to 2005.
Professor Kim is currently the President of the Korean Society of Patient Blood Management (KPBM) and the Korean Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia. He has served as the Primary Investigator in around 15 research projects and has published over 95 national and international publications, 37 abstracts, and given 56 lectures at various congresses. He is also a member of various professional and scientific societies.
Professor Kim is also a highly respected expert in cardiopulmonary anesthesia, transplant anesthesia, perioperative echocardiography, patient blood management, and patient monitoring. He is a passionate educator and mentor and is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients.
