Dr. Angela Hoi-Woon HO

Dr Ho graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and is currently an Associate Consultant in Queen Elizabeth Hospital department of Anaesthesiology and Operating Theatre Services. She is the assistant supervisor of training and is widely involved in the training and education of medical staff in her department and at the college. She also works closely with the Obstetrics and gynaecology department in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in conducting drills in crisis management in obstetrics.
Over the past decades, ambulatory surgery has been growing in demand due to its advantages over in-patient surgery. With the increase in the complexity of surgeries and medical conditions to be performed in day surgery settings, it is imperative that we provide high standards of anaesthesia and analgesia to help achieve successful outcomes in day surgery patients. The presentation would include a brief overview of the anaesthetic considerations, as well as sharing of the local practice and their outcomes.
