Escape Room: Obstetrics
This interactive, game-based learning session is designed to reinforce and enhance participants’ competence in obstetric crisis management, aligned with current best practices. Designed for airway instructors and fellows with an interest in updating advanced & difficult airway management skills delivered in HKCA ADAM-A workshops. This workshop advances clinical proficiency and instructional capability in advanced airway training. Participants will rotate through the core airway skills stations, including video-laryngoscopes, new supraglottic devices, front-of neck access, flexible and rigid intubation scopes, lung isolation devices and paediatric airway devices. W8: HKCA Welfare Workgroup Workshop “Reset & Recharge - Morning Energizing Yoga”

Enjoy a short session of yoga to energise yourself before the start of the academic lectures!
The workshop is completely beginner-friendly and consists of 45 mins of simple stretches and movements, performed in the sitting position (on a chair or on a floor sitting mat) and in the standing position. The practices will be targeted to the anaesthetist’s daily work practice, to help with back and neck stiffness and the general lack of exercise. Learn breathing exercises as well to help calm yourself in our stressful work practice.
Registrants who signed up and attended the workshop can take home a 40 x 60cm sitting mat which can also be used on top of a regular mat for non-slip practices for the hands or for extra padding for the knees (while stock lasts - we have 15!). Wear comfortable clothes that can allow good range of movements, such as T-shirts and long pants. Walk-in participants can be entertained if we still have space.

This intensive Problem-Based Learning Discussion (PBLD) combines cutting-edge device demonstrations with three sequential, high-fidelity case scenarios. Led by distinguished international and local experts, each 60-minute session tackles a distinct high-risk surgical case. Participants will engage in deep-dive discussions to interpret simulation-based advanced haemodynamic parameters to guide individualized interventions in a collaborative, small-group setting.
Overall aim: To establish a structured, physiology-based approach to the intraoperative management of high-risk surgeries, utilizing advanced hemodynamic monitoring to guide fluid optimization, vasoactive therapy, and goal-directed blood-product administration.

Overall Aim
Designed to advance personalized care in Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA), this workshop bridges pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) principles with practical bedside application. Through focused didactics, small group hands-on stations, and clinical case discussions, participants will master three core delivery techniques: manual infusion, computer-driven Target-Controlled Infusion (TCI), and Closed-Loop Anesthesia Delivery Systems (CLADS). Equal emphasis is placed on EEG interpretation and depth-of-anaesthesia monitoring, empowering clinicians to titrate intravenous agents safely and intelligently.
