Echo-A is a workshop designed to provide supervised training for practical skills of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). This workshop is especially suitable for beginner anaesthetists who want to learn how to use TTE for their patient care. During this four-hour workshop, each participant will learn how to perform basic TTE on at least four consecutive volunteers, under the guidance of experienced facilitators and sonographers. It is a pilot TTE training workshop for anaesthetists organized by the HKCA Echo Task Force and this is the first major step to promote and provide echo training to anaesthetists.
