Dr Stavros Prineas

Dr Stavros Prineas is a consultant anaesthetist working in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Apart from a keen interest in difficult airways and regional block techniques, he has a passion for in the 'human factors' of health care and incident analysis, and has devised training courses for clinicians on the psychology of error, performance shaping factors, teamwork, situational awareness, communication skills, incident analysis and open disclosure of adverse events. Stavros is also the CEO of ErroMed, a human factors training consultancy that has delivered small- and large-scale training programmes for governments and institutions across Australia as well as in Canada, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Most recently he has been a contributing author of Communication Skills for Anaesthetists (OUP).
